- A tag is free when you join Ace Eagles DGC ($15). You can join the club and get a tag before a tag round to participate that day. You cannot play in the tag round without a tag. If your tag is lost of stolen, a replacement one may be purchased.
- Tag rounds are held on Thursdays at 530pm CST. Tag rounds will be played at Mesker unless specified otherwise. Please check here or the Ace Eagle Facebook page for updates. Plan on arriving 10 minutes early to sign in and get ready to play.
- Lowest tag holder decides which tee the round will be played from.
- Players will have the option to contribute $1 for an Ace pool. If an Ace is hit during the tag round, the player will win all the winnings in the Ace pool. In the event of multiple aces, the players with aces will split the money evenly. The Ace pool winnings are only available to those who paid at the beginning of the round that day and checked their name on the sign-in sheet as proof. If no aces are hit, then the money is pooled for the following tag round until one is hit.
- Players will have the option to contribute to a $1 CTP. These will not be offered every round unless majority requested. The player with the closest drive to the pin at the end of the tag round will win the CTP winnings for that day. The CTP winnings are only available to those who paid at the beginning of the round that day and checked their name on the sign-in sheet as proof. In the event of an improper finish (ie. flag removed before last players have thrown at it) money will be refunded to those who signed up. CTP winnings are not affiliated with the Ace pool.
- In the event of a scoring tie at the end of a tag round, the player who started the round with a lower tag will take the lower tag.
- Monthly Scoring: TBD
- Courteous behavior is expected. Players are cautioned not to talk when other players are throwing. No one should walk ahead of the furthest lie or stand in the vision line of a shooting player.
- Play continues in all weather except lighting and heavy downpour of rain. If a round is cut short, players get their starting tag back.
- Players who leave in the middle of a round will be subject to turning in their current tag and being presented the highest tag of said round next tag round they attend.
- The #1 tag is the most coveted tag of the bag tag season. It may not remain out of play for more than 1 tag round. If the #1 tag is not in play for 2 consecutive weeks, a replacement #1 shall be placed back into play. The #1 holder will forfeit the tag, and be given a “Holder” status losing X points in the monthly scoring (TBD). To avoid this, #1 tag holders are encouraged to keep the tag in play or turn it in prior to the start of the second week tag round after it was won.
